01. Consolidation of registered deposits rejected


According to the provisions of the State Acquisition and Citizenship Act, 1950, registration-deposit-deposit consolidation i.e. record correction is done in view of the application with photo in the form prescribed by the government. Currently it takes 45 working days to get this service. It will cost 250 rupees.


02. Providing agricultural land settlement


Landless persons are provided settlement as per the Agricultural Land Settlement Policy at a sum of Tk. For this, an application has to be made to the Assistant Commissioner (Lands). It takes 90 days for landless selection, upazila and district committee approval.


03. According to the non-agricultural land long-term settlement policy, the settlement is provided at the market price in different categories in view of the application by the person or organization providing non-agricultural land long-term settlement. It takes a total of 90 days including on-site investigation, verification of records and approval of the Ministry of Lands.


04. Chandina VT located at Hat Bazar is providing one-time settlement


Chandina VTs located in peri-ferry authorized haat bazaars are leased for a maximum of 0.0050 acres or half a hundred acres of land to one hundred per family considering the occupation of genuine traders. For this, an application has to be made to the Assistant Commissioner (Lands). It takes a total of 30 days including on-site investigation, verification of records and approval by the District Commissioner.


05. Sayrat Mahal Management


Sayrat Mahal or Hat Bazar, Government Pond, Lake, Balu Mahal, Ferry Ghat, etc. are granted leases for a fixed period by inviting tenders at the end of the Bengali year. The period for granting the lease and the period for taking up the activities are mentioned in the tender schedule.

Upazila Land Office maintains SA/RS Khatian, published BS Khatian, TT Meowza maps.


07. Collection of land development tax


Municipal/Union land offices under this upazila collect land development tax.
